Dear Me....

How was everyones weekend?? I took a break from my blog for the weekend, and had some very amazing adventures. I will be posting them during the coming week.
I am still working on my 'See more of Adelaide' project, which I am still coming up with a name for, but I have got some good stuff coming for that.

I figured since I have been doing some behind the scenes stuff during the day today, that I should probably write a post, but realised I dont have any short posts to write! So, I am just going to leave now before this becomes too weird!

Hope everyone has a nice day/night!

Adelaide's Mini Maker Faire

So I understand Maker Faire's are quite popular over in the US of A, but here in Adelaide they are not very common at all. In fact, this year, the very first maker faire was put on.
For those who are unaware, a maker faire is where people from anywhere come to show off there work or invention. It could be anything from textile artistry to book binding, 3D printing to Dalek building. (yes, there is an Adelaide Dalek Builders Union. I'm a little scared!) It's pretty much, in fact I think its tagline is, the greatest show (and tell) on Earth. If that doesn't explain it, nothing will!
It was awesome! This is only the second faire in the whole of Australia, and that Makes us pretty damn cool, if you ask me!
So anyway, me, my boyfriend, my sister, and my Dad all went out to visit this faire. It was the nerd place to be! Everyone I went with fit in well! (Maybe a little too well!) It was held at the Adelaide College of the Arts which is really a beautiful building! The view from the top is awesome. :)

it was a very enjoyable experience and I would quite enjoy going again! Looking forward to seeing what appears at next years and seeing what weird stuff our city is doing that we don't know about! It's exciting to see what people work on behind the scenes!

My poor flowers have had a beating over the last few days!

But my broccoli plants are thriving

Happy colors!

One of the kitty cats found a toy monkey the other day
and wont let it go! He rans around with it between his legs and falls over.

Giant lollipop and ice cream toys! More coming up about these

amen! My new blog journal. Its awesome.

Anyway! Back to work!

Mt. Lofty Walks!

In Adelaide, we have Mount Lofty. Its 727m above sea level, and it is one tough climb for an amateur hiker like I am!! It just goes up and up and up!!! It took us 3 hours to climb and down, and 2 of those hours were up! Down was easy!
Anyway, Tom and I went to climb it one day we decided it was time :P I have climbed it many times before, but this was going to be Tom's first time. It happened to be raining the morning we went. Still, it made it better then being hot! But because of that, when we got to the top, there was fog everywhere! You couldnt see a single thing.
Well, here are the few pictures I took when it wasnt raining (really need to buy a water proof cover for my camera!)

It was very fun, tiring and wet, and a great experience. We found out at the top that the quickest someone has gone up it is 23 minutes...it took us 2 hours!

Another Playlist!

It has been very rainy and cold here in Adelaide. It's telling me that winter is coming, and I am loving it!! So my playlist this time is for the people who are in the cold (like me), and dont have a fire. :P This is my musical fire for all of you guys out there!

1. Rainy Night in Georgia - Rod Stewart

I am quite a Rod Stewart fan (sshh!) and this is the first song I turn to when it is raining outside. It makes me feel happy. :)

2. The Winter Song - Eisley

It's kind of obvious why this song is chosen for a winter playlist just by looking at the title. :) Her voice is so nice and haunting...but nice. Very pretty song!

3. The Autumn Leaves - Nat King Cole

I am a HUGE fan of Nat King Cole (especially 'Fascination'. Absolutely gorgeous!) and this one is always on my playlist when its coming up to Autumn. Winter and autumn are my favorite seasons, being a painter, the colors of autumn are so vivid and intense and are just glorious to paint! Anyway, this song = heaven.

4. Winter- Joshua Radin

Now, Scrubs is known for their wonderful taste in music, and this song is no exception. What a nice and peaceful song. Just nice to sit and listen to while looking out the window!

5. Arms of a Woman - Amos Lee

Not much to say about this! The song will say it for me :)

What gorgeous songs! I love all of these songs. What songs are on your playlist? Let me know!

Dance

Have you ever felt like putting music on and dancing like you just dont care? Well, I did that while getting ahead of my blog posts for the next few days, and put my headphones on and just crazy danced for a small amount of time and didnt care! Turns out my sister was waving at me and tried to get my attention the whole time, so she saw the whole thing! And for the first time ever, I dont think I care! :)
Anyway, I'm going back to One Direction and photo editing now. :)

Music makes everything better!

wow!!!

Hey guys! It has been a very weird and exciting couple of weeks for me! I got a lot of new toys and such that I have been eagerly playing with. This post is really just showing you what will be appearing in the next few days.
I bought a new record player which I have not stopped using since l purchased it a week or so ago. (if you follow me on instagram you'd know! missowlb, if you want to play along!)

My second big purchase this week is a new Wacom Bamboo Fun pen & Touch drawing tablet. Oh so much fun! I am currently trying to write this whole post using my handwriting and the computer translating it. So far, it is still a little slower than my normal typing , but it's amazing how well it can read my scribble of a cursive script. Definitely recommend it to anyone!

I am planning on uploading a lot of photos onto the photography section, soon. Just of various things that need to be shared. :)
I have a lot of outings that are currently being written for you guys, but seem to do something else before I get the chance to upload the first one! Craziness!
Here are a few photos from my last few weeks!

My new Pen and Touch!

Started absolutely pouring with Rain when I got to work the other day!

Another picture of the rain

My new slipper boots, my boyfriend calls them 'Buzz Boots' cause they look like Buzz Lightyears shoes.

Yummy breakfast!
My new record player!! I am so in love with it!
Finally got to work more on my vertical blind. Too bad, I didnt get much done! Tomorrows job maybe?

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great day!

Apologies!

Apologies Everyone!! I have been unwell for the last week or so, and that means dragging my sick butt to work and then collapsing in bed watching seasons of Miranda until I fall asleep. Yes, that is my sorry week.
As it currently is, I am writing this while lying on my bed, hoping to God that I can get to go home early today, and I start in half an hour. Yay!
I have watched a lot of movies over the last week, so I am beginning to like the idea more and more of doing film reviews. I will get back to you on that. I have written some more posts, but my head isnt concentrating enough to edit the posts and the photos to go on them. Just be patient. New stuff is definitely coming soon.
Anyway, this was just a post to let you know that I am still alive!!

Until next time!
